Walk the Fire:
The ultimate preparation for the challenges you face in life
Fire-walking is a ritual practiced by many civilizations over thousands of years; a ritual that demonstrates that an individual has faced their fears. As an empowerment exercise, it can help each of us in modern society to overcome the limits we place on ourselves – often without even realising it. This is why the fire-walk is rapidly becoming established as a powerful aid to personal development.
David Briscombe is delighted to add thrilling, yet expertly supervised, fire-walks (along with bar-bending and arrow-breaking) to his comprehensive tool-kit of systems and techniques designed to help you improve the way you manage your life:
- Develop self-confidence
- Realise your full potential
- Overcome stress
From losing weight to giving up smoking, from getting a better night’s sleep to improving your career prospects, you will be amazed at what you can achieve. If you can walk on hot coals – and with our help you can – then you can do anything you set your mind to!
An unforgettable experience in its own right, the lasting effects of fire-walking may change your life profoundly. Many participants have reported feeling a whole new, eminently positive outlook – a self-belief that permeates every aspect of their personal and professional existence. Whether you set out to achieve individual goals or to create a better functioning team, a fire-walk has a unique and immediate positive effect on all those who take part.
David Briscombe is Wales’ leading authority in corporate and personal improvement and has been helping people to maximise their potential for over 20 years, developing individuals through proven scientific techniques.
Your experience of these amazing techniques will be supervised at all times by David himself, an experienced and qualified fire-walk instructor, with the support of his specialist team. The fire-walk itself (as well as the bar-bending and arrow-breaking activities) is preceded by in-depth preparation sessions which help create the right state of mind in every attendee. This informative and interactive workshop will prepare you to do something you never thought possible – walking on fire!
What happens on the night of the event?
A typical example of a fire-walk schedule: Registration is 6.30pm to 7.00pm. Once registration has taken place and all participants are ready, you will undergo the preparation training in a private room. All participants must go through the private motivational psychology training designed to equip them with the resources to walk unharmed across the embers, burning at approximately 1200 degrees Fahrenheit. The training is based around proven motivational and psychological methods. It does not involve any element of hypnosis, spiritual training, chanting, ‘brainwashing’, voodoo or any similar methodologies. It is however, tremendous fun!
Once the training session ends at approximately 8.30pm, David will lead the group outside to where the fire-walk has been burning away. After a short briefing around the fire bed, you will be instructed to take your shoes and socks off and line up ready. Once the all-clear sign has been given by the head of the fire team, David will send a member of his team across first to make sure the fire bed feels correct and even. Once the OK signal is given each walker will go across the fire. Those who wish to can repeat the fire-walk as many times as they like, (and many do having felt the pride and elation of having done it the first time). We then go back to the training room at approximately 9.00pm for a de-brief and certificate presentation. Often at this time people like to swap telephone numbers and email addresses having shared a life changing experience with new found friends.
